1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900MM

1933 Bugatti Type 59 Grand Prix

Kućište motora – to masivno kućište motora!

1930 Mercedes-Benz SSK Count Trossi

Automobil izgleda zaista fenomenalno.

Mercedes-Benz Unimog Celebrates 60 Years of Production

In those 60 years of production, the Unimog has gone through many design changes and has spawned dozens of variations, further lending to the vehicle's versatility. To celebrate the Unimog's 60th birthday, Mercedes-Benz is hosting the largest gathering of current and historic Unimog vehicles at the vehicle's birthplace, the site of the first Unimog plant in Gaggenau, Germany.

Given the name "Universal-Motor-Gerät" in 1951, meaning universal motor machine in German, the name has since been shortened to just "Unimog." While the vehicle has seen a long career of service in commercial, military and agricultural use, the Unimog is also enjoyed and celebrated by enthusiasts around the world for its off-road capabilities and overall ruggedness. Seeing as the Unimog has a relatively large fan base, it makes sense that Mercedes would open up the event to enthusiast participation. Expected to attend are 60 classic Unimog owners, taking part in a rally that spans from the Unimog's birthplace to the plant where it's currently built in Wörth, Germany.

100 Years Of Chevrolet and Indy 500

America's most famous race, the Indianapolis 500, celebrates its 100th anniversary this year and so does Chevrolet, whose name was tied to the “Brickyard” from the very beginning. Arthur Chevrolet competed in the inaugural Indy 500 on May 30 1911, a few months before founding the company that bears his name, on November 3 the same year. Today, Chevrolet and Indy 500 are still together, with the Camaro SS Convertible to be the 22nd Chevrolet to pace the Indy 500 race on May 29 as a common celebration for their 100-year anniversary.

Over the years, the Chevrolet brothers competed many times at the Indy 500, but only one of them managed to win the race. In 1920, Gaston Chevrolet triumphed behind the wheel of a Monroe-Frontenac, becoming the first winning driver to finish the race on one set of tires. Sadly, he passed away later that year during a California race.

After the end of World War 2, Chevrolet started to provide pace cars for the race, with the first being a 1948 Convertible. Including this year's event, Chevrolet cars have paced the Indy 500 22 times, more than any other brand. The Corvette did it ten times, followed by the Camaro, with seven appearances.

The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 Pace Car pays tribute to the 1969 Camaro pace-setter, with the two cars sharing the paint scheme. It will also be sold as a special edition model in a limited run of 500 units.

BS1 (British Sportcar with VW 3,0 V6 Turbodiesel engine )

the British Sportscars 1, or BS1 for short, should offer the performance and driver appeal of cars that normally cost twice as much and offer a Le Mans type driving experience.

The BS1 would have a space frame chassis built from aluminum and steel, with body panels made from glass fiber-reinforced plastic and carbon fiber. The mid-mounted engine would be a VW 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel engine tuned to produce 250 horsepower and 475 Nm (350 lb-ft) of torque. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) shouldn't take more than 4.5 seconds, while top speed should be 147 mph (236 km/h). Average fuel consumption would reach 4.7 liters/100 km (50 mpg US), with CO2 emissions rated at 199 g/km.
