New Batmobile From Batman Vs. Superman

As good as Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight franchise was, Batman fans still had a lot of things to complain about. Next year's Batman v Superman movie might prove to be an significant upgrade.

So what was wrong with The Dark Knight? Where do we even begin...

First of all, Batman looked a little bit too much like Robocop with that silly muscle padded suit. You generally won't find that look in the Comics and you certainly won't find it in any of the animated adaptations.

Then there was the fighting choreography. The scenes were badly filmed, you couldn't make out any discernible martial arts moves and for some reason they didn't want to hire a bad-ass trained martial artist as a stunt double.

Since we don't want this piece running into tomorrow, we'll jump straight to what was wrong with theBatmobile, or the Tumbler as they called it. The Batmobile is supposed to be a car first of all. A very cool, very aggressive and futuristic looking car, not a military off-roader..or whatever that was.

This newer adaptation from the upcoming Batman v Superman film is a lot more car-like, wouldn't you say? Sure, it still looks a bit too Army-like and seems like it would be really hard to drive because it's so wide, but at least it's a car. It has four wheels, not 40.

That being said, we're beyond excited to see it on the big screen, along with Zach Snyder's take on how the Dark Knight should be. Even though Nolan has a great cinematic mind, Snyder should prove more capable at this on-screen superhero thing. The way in which he directed Watchmen was nothing short of a masterpiece.

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

Despite its GT size, the F12 is arguably one of Ferrari's best looking modern-day cars. It may not be as sleek as a 458/488 or a California, but it's still stunning to look at.

Of course, throw in a set of matte black ADV10R Track Spec CS wheels to a car that's already black, and you'll get yourself a Dark Knight reference without even asking for one.

However we're hoping they lowered the suspension just for the photoshoot, because a car like the 741 HP F12 Berlinetta will always look better on the street/track than at a tuning show - which is what we think about every time we see a car sitting so low, its tires are almost touching the wheel arches.

Plus, when you can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.1 seconds, better make sure none of your mods can slow you down.

Aesthetically, this F12 also features new side skirts, front splitter and rear diffuser, as well as a boot lid lip spoiler - naturally all carbon fiber.

The wheels measure 21x9.5 up front and massive 22x13 in the back. As for the design, ADV.1 has that covered every single time, so we love it.

If we were to have a list of the best looking Ferrari F12s we've ever seen, this one would probably make the top 5. And by probably we mean certainly.

2013 Lamborghini Ferruccio

While we expect a fitting tribute from Lamborghini to mark the 50 years from the day Ferrucio Lamborghini launched the company that bears his name to challenge Ferrari, independent designers have already begun spinning their own tributes.

The Lamborghini Feruccio concept pictured here is the work of Mark Hostler, a transportation design student at Staffordshire University.

Hostler's overly aggressive and hard-edged concept is said to blend the shapes and design details of various Lamborghini supercars from different eras.

These include the low windshield and read end design of the original Countach, the softer and more rounded front fenders of the Miura and the jet-fighter lines of the recent crop of Lamborghinis such as the Reventon and the Aventador LP700-4.

In Hostler's mind, a supercar like the Feruccio concept should combine tradition with modernity and as such, he designed it to be equipped with a 5.0-liter V12 engine featuring twin-turbochargers and a direct-injection system.

You can take a look at the photos and the video of the Lamborghini Feruccio concept right after the break.

Lamborghini Ankonian (Batmobile)

Lamborghini Ankonian Concept is the creation of Slavche Tanevsky and, unlike most independent design studies, boasts the participation of Lamborghini and Audi designers.
As the Reventon is probably the most aggressively styled, overly executed production vehicle it's a fitting comparison. Named after an all-black bull, the Ankonian captures the line certain Lamborghinis walk between sinister.

The Macedonian designer aptly projects representative Lambo features, such as thecharacteristic widely flanked and F117 stealth front fascia as well as the forward lean. Also like the Reventon, it's almost entirely triangles shooting off in different directions.
Like the most aggressive new design language coming out of Europe, there's a lot of playfulness with the ability to construct new forms out of lightweight material. Yet, it never strays from its fundamental desire to be both aggressive and harmonious.

All of this may not make it into the next generation of Lamborghinis, but we suspect the designers in Sant'Agata and Ingolstadt are paying attention to the subtle features at work here; of special note is the use of headlights integrated into the shapes up front. It's a design note allowing almost invisible but useful illumination.
