Dodge Hellcats And A Viper Battle Trash

Spare yourselves 40 minutes for this one, if you want to see three of the most surreal cars on market being thrashed like there is no tomorrow.

MotorTrend’s Roadkill is now sponsored by Dodge and in order to celebrate the event, the popular YouTube show got a pair of Hellcats and a Viper and beat the living daylights out of them. Seriously, the level of abuse contained in the video will leave you giggling if you share the same lack of mechanical empathy with these guys.

Burnouts, drag-racing, express lessons on how-to-drift and some insane hooning on a dirt track designed for motorcycles are all in there.

If you want to see how a Viper tackles a dirt track or for how long can a Hellcat spin its tyres until they blow up, head to the video below.

Viper GTS Twin Turbo is a 1500 WHP Omen

If we're talking over 1000 HP, twin turbo units, racing fuel and all that, we're also probably mentioning cars such as the Lamborghini Gallardo and the Nissan GT-R. But what about something even more..extreme?

And we don't mean 'extreme' in terms of performance, even though we'll get to that in a second. But more along the lines of pure adrenaline.

Both the Gallardo and the GT-R are perfect choices for people who want beyond-hypercar performance from their run of the mil supercar. If you're putting down over 1000HP (some get very close to 2000HP) you better hope you've got an all-wheel drive system capable of handling all that torque.

When it comes to the Viper, all its torque goes entirely to the rear wheels, which makes this already 'exciting to drive' car even more exciting - and that's the understatement of the year.

We're talking about a 640 PS V10, outfitted with RSI Racing Solution's twin-turbo package, which will get you in the vicinity of 1000WHP. This car was capable of hitting 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds even without any mods. Just imagine what it could do with all that extra power.

To be fair, it will be limited quite a bit by its traction. Still, in perfect conditions this should be a 2-second car.

The RSI Racing Solution mods include two Precision turbos, a stroker kit, forged engine internals, a new exhaust plus other performance oriented changes.

If you're using E85 ethanol or racing fuel, you're bound to turn those 1000 WHP into an "Oh-My-God" worthy 1,500 WHP.

If gunning it at the strip is your favorite pastime, then this definitely isn't a bad way to spend $89,950.

Urban Ram with 392 HEMI V8

Chrysler's in-house tuner dropped a 392 (6.4-liter) HEMI V8 engine into the Ram but it didn't stop there performing a series of go-fast and styling upgrades to the customized pickup truck.

The aggressive performance tune includes new headers, a cold-air intake, performance dual exhaust with chrome tips, a performance handling kit and SRT rotors and brake calipers.

Mopar won't say yet how many ponies are stuffed under the vented hood, simply informing us that it packs "plenty of muscle".

The customized Ram's exterior sports a "Modern Blue" paint scheme accented with a blue stripe and a "Mopar" logo emblazoned on the rear side panel on the driver’s side along with a performance hood, body kit and new 22-inch R/T wheels painted, of course, in black.

Rounding out the changes is a fiberglass tonneau cover that matches the body color, and a bed rug, bed ambient light kit and Mopar design badge.

Dodge Charger V10 Juiced Concept

The Viper V-10 injects a venom-worthy boost of 650 horsepower into the Charger Juiced, but tones down the emissions to remain eco-friendly," the company said in a statement.

Other performance upgrades include the Mopar cold air intake, cat-back exhaust and lowering kit to tighten the ride and improve cornering.

Moving on to the rest of the car, the sedan sports a performance prototype hood with a functional air scoop, which along with the roof, is painted in a darker matte version of the custom Metallic “Copperhead” hue of the vehicle.

A matte black chin spoiler, the matte black hood and decklid graphics, and 20-inch lightweight alloy rims finished in black with “Copperhead” accents, round out the exterior upgrades.

The interior of the SEMA Show concept features black Katzkin leather seats and “Copperhead” accents throughout the cabin, along with an aluminum instrument panel bezel, and Mopar-branded door-sill guards and pistol-grip shifter.

2013 Dodge Dart

The Dart effectively replaces the Caliber in Dodge's lineup offering the Chrysler Group a direct rival to the Ford Focus and Chevrolet saloons.

It is based on a wider and longer version of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta's platform and will offer American buyers an initial choice of three gasoline four-cylinder engines including a pair of natural aspirated units with a displacement of 2.0-liters and 2.4-liters rated at 160 and 184-horses respectively as well as a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine from the Abarth 500 with 160-ponies.

The front-wheel drive Dart will debut with a Fiat Group-sourced 6-speed dual-clutch transmission and a six-speed manual gearbox but in 2013, it will gain a new 9-speed transmission that is currently being developed by the ZF Group.

Dodge Charger from The Dukes of Hazzard

Together with the original Batmobile from the 1960s "Batman" TV series and the De Lorean DMC-12 from the Back to the Future movie trilogy, the 1969 Dodge Charger also known as the General Lee from the "The Dukes of Hazzard", is one of the most iconic and memorable vecihles in the history of Hollywood.

And now, one of the original General Lees from the TV series is heading to the auction block at Barret Jackson's Scottsdale event in Arizona that kicks off on January 14.

Mind you, we're not talking about any General Lee but the very first car to appear on the first episode of the series performing its famous jump over a Hazzard County police cruiser.

Understandably, over the series' seven year run from 1979 to 1985, the producers used a lot of cars – some say more 300. So while it's one of the many General Lee cars used in the series, being the first makes its extremely special and it’s bound to draw the attention of collectors from all over the world.

Barret Jackson tells us the only cast member to ever drive the first car, which is fondly named "Lee 1", was John Schneider, who played Bo Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard.

After the series came to an end, the 1969 Dodge Charger was dumped in a junkyard somewhere in Metro Atlanta where it stayed for 23 years before it was rescued and professionally restored to its former condition over a 16 month period.

Barret Jackson says that there will be no reserve price for the Lee 1.

1969 Dodge Charger V/C

The highlight of the Charger V/C is of course the driveline that includes the third generation Viper's massive 505 cu.in. (8.3-liter) V10 engine (slightly massaged) and manual gearbox. You can read more details about the upgrades in the seller's description below.

From eBay Seller's Description:
Let me start by saying you never seen another car like this one. If you think it looks like any other 69 Charger, look again. The only thing under the car that is Charger is the front frame rails. The rest of the cars chassis is hand built to accommodate the complete Gen 3 Viper drive line..
The car was built by a local shop and the completion took a few years and the final result was worth it. Everything was hand built, fitted, welded, bolted then taken apart to be painted in the mile deep GLOSS BLACK. The under side, door jams, under the hood and trunk lid have a better paint job than most cars do on the outside!
The original plan was to put the Viper V-10 engine in the Charger, then that led to putting the whole drive line in which required the rear frame & floors to be hand built. Then that led to customizing the whole car.
After it's completion there has been 320 test miles on it. Everything works and is a joy to drive as you can image. The V-10 was completely rebuilt with some goodies added, the interior is leather and cloth, with power windows and a Kenwood Stereo with Navigation in the special built console. There is a aluminum radiator, and hand made air cleaner and air inlets.
The wheels and tires are new Viper ones, the exhaust is built to come out of the side of the car(see pic). There is nothing hanging low, everything is tucked and hidden nice.
The pics and description do NOT do this car justice! If you see anything wrong with the paint, let me tell you it is a reflection from the paint. The car is the most straight and shiny black car I have ever seen.
I will probably revise this listing many times due to so many things I have forgot.
I have more pics if you want. Non-refundable $500 due within 24 hours of auctions end. No warranty, sold as is. If you have less than 10 feedback or neg. feedback or no money, don't bid before talking to me.
If you want to talk to me, send your phone number, I will not post it.
*When I said the front frame rails were the only stock part left, I should have said up until the firewall. From the firewall forward it is hand built k-member with Viper upper and lower control arms with rack and pinion steering. The rear is Viper independent suspension.
*The gas tank is hidden between the back seat and the trunk panel. The battery is in the trunk. The Air Cond. is hidden under the dash with the lines behind the pass. front wheel in the wheel well.
