Land Rover Defender Pick-Up by Kahn Design

Kahn Design’s latest Land Rover Defender project is a wide-body 90 Pick-Up that brings both styling and equipment upgrades compared to the standard model.

The Land Rover Defender 2.4 TDCI 90 Pick Up – Chelsea Wide Track is painted Keswick Green and features front and rear wide wheel arches with exposed bolt apertures, an X-Lander front grille, stainless steel hood and fender vent mesh, full front bumper replacement with integrated lights and shadow chrome headlights.

The truck also sports Chelsea Truck Company wheel covers and optional side steps.

The Defender rides on a new set of 1939 Defend Retro Dish wheels shod with 275/55/20 tyres, with other exterior tweaks including the toughened mud flaps and a twin cross-hair exhaust system.

Inside, the cabin gets a luxurious ambiance thanks to Sports GTB seats in quilted and perforated leather, leather wrapped instrument binnacle and door cards, as well as trim detailing in soft Alcantara.

The package is completed by a Kahn billet steering wheel, vented foot pedals in machined aluminum, a Churchill Time Clock and hard-wearing front and rear floor mats.

The Land Rover Defender 2.4 TDCI 90 Pick Up – Chelsea Wide Track is priced at £28,930.

Audi TT Black Edition

Prices for the TT Coupe and Roadster Black Edition Amplified Black range from £31,365 OTR to £36,360 OTR.

The optional package costs £700 and it includes a choice of four metallic or pearl effect colours named Glacier White, Misano Red, Daytona Grey or Samoa Orange, and if the latter is chosen, the interior inlays are finished in the same shade, while in all other cases, inlays are in matt brushed aluminium.

Also included in the Amplified Black package is a black-finished front lip spoiler, black door mirror housings, black TT RS-style fixed rear spoiler, black 19-inch ‘Rotor’ design alloy wheels, a black diffuser insert and blacked out exhaust tailpipes.

Two engines are available with the double black package, the 2.0-litre TFSI petrol with 211PS linked to either front-wheel-drive or quattro all-wheel-drive and the 2.0-litre TDI with 170PS mated to quattro drive only.

Toyota GT86 by TRD

Only 250 examples of the car will be offered in the UK, with sales to start from 1 March at on-the-road prices set at £31,495 for the 6-speed manual model and £32,995 for the 6-speed automatic version.

Available in a choice of two colours, Pearl White and GT86 Black, the TRD-prepped model won't bring any engine upgrades over the regular model, as the focus is on improving the GT86's styling and aerodynamics.

The TRD package includes 18-inch cast TF6 alloys, deep front and side skirts, a rear bumper spoiler and a quad-exhaust system with a rear diffuser on the outside, plus a branded radiator cap and fuel filler cover and a new TRD gearshift lever on the inside.

Since there are no engine mods, the GT86 TRD's acceleration and maximum speed remain unchanged at 7.7 seconds for 0-62mph (100km/h) and 140mph (225km/h) for the manual and 8.4 seconds and 130mph (209km/h) for the automatic.

Insignia VXR SuperSport

Vauxhall's version is named the Insignia VXR SuperSport and it replaces the current Insignia VXR. Just the like Opel model, the VXR SuperSport does away with the speed limiter allowing the car to hit 170mph (274km/h), or 15mph (24km/h) more than its predecessor. Acceleration from 0-60mph (96km/h) remains the same at 5.6 seconds.

Perhaps more meaningfully, Vauxhall has slashed the price by £3,760 over the outgoing car to £29,995.

As you probably have already figured out, there are no other changes under the bonnet where you will find a 2.8-liter single twin-scroll turbocharged V6 producing 320hp (325HP) and 295 lb-ft (400Nm) of torque channeled to all four wheels.

The only visual identifiers on the SuperSport are blue ‘Brembo’ lettering on its front brake callipers and additional increments on its speedometer.

The other vehicles seen in the photo gallery released by Vauxhall are the Lotus Carlton, which was the fastest production saloon in 1989 with a top speed of 176mph (283km/h), the VXR Maloo, the UK’s fastest light commercial vehicle with a 0-60mph time of 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 155mph (250km/h), and the UK’s first 100mph (160km/h) production car, the 30-98.

Audi A6 Black Edition

The A6 Avant Black Edition is also equipped with black roof rails, while all three models ride on a lowered S Line sports suspension.

The interior decorations include Piano Black inlays, sport seats upholstered in black Valcona leather and black headlining, plus an upgraded BOSE surround sound system.

All three Black Edition models are built on the S Line specification, which itself adds exterior and interior styling enhancements, satellite navigation, light and rain sensors, Xenon all-weather headlights and LED rear lights, the Audi drive select adaptive dynamics system, parking system plus and keyless go. The A7 adds a few more extras such as a powered tailgate, electrically adjustable front seats and a powered retractable rear spoiler.

The powerplant choices for the Black Edition package include all engines in the A6 Sedan and Avant range from the 175hp (177PS) 2.0-litre TDI upwards bar the S6, and for the A7, all powertrains sans the front-wheel-drive 3.0-litre TDI 201hp (204PS) and the S7 Sportback.

2013 Range Rover Mk4

The new Range Rover will be available in over 170 markets worldwide, with North American customer deliveries scheduled to start in December 2012.

In the UK, Land Rover opened the order books with prices starting at £71,295 for the Range Rover Vogue 3.0L TDV6 rising to £98,395 for the Range Rover Autobiography 5.0L Supercharged.

The lighter (up to 926lbs or 420kg, depending on the model) but also bigger, stronger and more refined fourth generation Range Rover, will be available in Europe with three engines at launch.
These include the 503hp (510PS) 5.0-liter V8 Supercharged petrol and two diesels, the 255hp (258PS) 3.0-litre TDV6 and the 334hp (339PS) 4.4-litre SDV8 engines, all of which are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

With the smaller V6 diesel, the total weight savings over the previous model reach 926lbs / 420kg, while fuel consumption has been reduced by 22 percent to 7.5lt/100km (31.4mpg US or 37.7mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 196g/km.

In North America, the 2013 Range Rover will be offered with two gasoline engines, a 375hp 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated V8 that offers a 0-60 mph (96km/h) time of 6.5 seconds (0.7-second quicker than the outgoing model), and a 503hp (510PS) 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with a 0-60 mph time of 5.1 seconds (0.8 seconds faster).

Again, both engines are coupled to LR's new eight-speed automatic transmission.

Land Rover also confirmed a new diesel-electric hybrid variant for 2013 in certain European and Asian markets, but not North America.

This model will use Jaguar Land Rover's new hybrid powerplant that links a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel to an eight-speed automatic transmission with an integrated electric motor and a lithium-ion battery package. The company claims that the hybrid will deliver CO2 emissions of 169g/km with more details to be released in due time.
