Fiat 500X SUV

Mirafiori was rumored to face the axe, a move that would probably reduce Fiat’s €700 million expected loss this year. However, the plant won’t be shut down but it won’t get to assemble the two small SUVs that the company is getting ready, either.

These two models, the Fiat 500X and the related Jeep-badged small crossover will almost certainly be built at the Melfi plant, which will be the “hub” for both brands’ future B-segment cars.

Marchionne is reportedly hard at work to re-establish the failing Fiat brand image in the European market.

To do so, he is said to be considering a new stand-alone brand based around the successful 500 city car and its derivatives, much like BMW did with the MINI.

The newspaper also reports that the next Lancia Delta will be assembled in the Cassino factory, as will its Chrysler 100 twin that will be exported to the U.S.

2013 SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition

The car is named the SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition and it pays homages to past Viper Coupe reveals in 1996 and 2006. It is finished in the Viper's distinctive GTS Blue paint with dual Bright White stripes running the entire length of the sports car and it rides on five-spoke polished forged-aluminum design wheels.

The interior of the special edition model will feature a serialized dash plaque, while Black Laguna leather with contrast stitching will cover the seats, door trim, instrument panel, steering wheel, grab handle, shift knob and center console. In addition, the headliner is done in Alcantara while the white bezels are finished in Satin Silver.

Power comes from the same all-aluminum, 8.4-liter V10 delivering 640 ponies and 600 lb.-ft. of torque as the regular models

"Designed with Viper loyalists in mind, the 2013 SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition model brings back the classic paint schemes that have adorned all previous Viper coupe launches to help us celebrate the return of our brand’s flagship performance machine to the supercar market," commented Ralph Gilles, President and CEO of the SRT brand.

Chrysler didn't say how many Viper GTS Launch Edition it plans to build.

Chrysler GT Coupe

We recently revisited his portfolio and discovered a new design project that he has been working on. This time, Bonathan dreamed up a styling proposal for a Chrysler-branded luxury GT coupe named Review.

We don’t know if what we see in these computer generated images is the final design or if Bonathan is still contemplating on the details, but the styling is impressive in an elegant way.

2012 Chrysler 300 Luxury Edition

The 300 Luxury Edition is powered by the regular model's 292HP 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine matched to a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and the choice of rear- or all-wheel drive.

As with the HEMI-powered Luxury Edition, the V6 model sports a slew of bespoke extras highlighted by the liberal use of leather throughout the interior.

Aside from the Black or two-tone Mochachino seats that are wrapped in Nappa leather and include 12-way power-adjustable front seats with two-mode ventilation and two-mode heated seats for both front and rear passengers, the Luxury model gets the same leather treatment for the dashboard, center console, door panels, armrest and steering wheel.

Furthermore, the interior package includes die-cast paddle shifters, Natural Pore Mocha wood trim in a matte finish, an infotainment and navigation system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, LED-illuminated instrument cluster with driver-selectable colors, power-adjustable steering wheel column and pedals, chrome door sills, dual heated/cooled cup holders, ambient lit foot well lighting, LED illuminated interior door handles and front and rear map pockets plus premium carpeted trunk mat.

On the outside, the Luxury package adds 20-inch polished face (RWD) or 19-inch (AWD) alloy wheels, plus platinum chrome fascia accents, exterior mirror caps and door handle accents.
Both the V6- and V8-powered Chrysler 300 Luxury Series models will go on sale next February.
The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (including $825 destination) of the 300 Luxury models is:
  • Chrysler 300 Luxury Series (V6 RWD) $40,145
  • Chrysler 300 Luxury Series (V6 AWD) $42,495
  • Chrysler 300C Luxury Series (V8 RWD) $42,895
  • Chrysler 300C Luxury Series (V8 AWD) $45,245

1954 DeSoto Adventurer II Coupe Concept

The two-seater model was built by Italy's Ghia on a Chrysler Imperial chassis with power coming from a Chrysler V8 HEMI engine.

After its motor show tour ended in 1955, the DeSoto Adventurer II was bought by King Mohammed V of Morocco who kept it until 1985 when he sold it to an American Diplomat named Armand Archer.
The car has since been fully restored.

Chrysler Delta

Well, the Chrysler Group has presented the final production version but it is not for U.S. consumption. Instead, the Delta will be offered in the United Kingdom where all Lancia products will be marketed under the Chrysler brand.

The only changes made to the original Lancia model, which was recently updated with a new front grille, concern the Chrysler badges inside and out.

Available engine options will include a choice of two 1.4-liter units delivering 120HP and 140HP, and 120HP 1.6-liter or 200HP 2.0-liter turbo diesels delivering up to 61.4mpg UK combined (equal to 51.1mpg US or 4.6lt/100km) and emissions as low as 120g/Km.
