These include the mid-size S60 that was only just presented in 2010, and the larger S80 that has been in production since 2006 having been modestly updated in 2010.

The facelifted versions of the S60 and S80 sedans will be presented next year and will be followed by a completely new version of the XC90 mid-size luxury crossover in the second part of 2014. The current XC90 was launched in 2002 and is the oldest model in Volvo's range.

It's replacement will be the first Volvo to use the new Scalable Platform Architecture. Last year, Volvo had released some preliminary designs proposals for the next XC90, which you can check out in more detail in the gallery below.

Speck added that the company's plans also include new versions of the S60 and S80 sedans "over time", without elaborating further on the matter.

As far as sales are concerned, the Volvo executive told Autonews that the automaker is still on track to boost annual worldwide deliveries to at least 800,000 vehicles by 2020, and that the U.S. "is strategically the most important" market for the company.

2014 Kia K3 Cerato Forte

The first thing you need to know about the K3 is that it is a global model with the alphanumeric moniker used only in Korea where it goes on sale this fall.

In the first quarter of 2013, the sedan will begin arriving in North American dealerships as the 2014 Forte and in other markets as the new Cerato, with coupe and hatchback variants to follow in due time. We still do not know if Kia has plans to sell the compact saloon model in Europe.

"Longer, lower and wider than the current car, with an extended wheelbase, the next generation Forte / Cerato will be manufactured with an all-new bodyshell structure," Kia said in a short statement leaving many details up to our imagination.

2014 BMW M4 / M3 Coupe

For those of you that just can't wait to get a peek at the next M3 Coupe or perhaps as we may come to know it, the M4, graphic designer Jacek Kolodziejczyk has put his skills to work developing a pretty realistic rendering of the coupe model.

The 30-year old artist used several styling elements found on the new F30 3-Series sedan while also borrowing some cues from the M3 Seadn prototype scooped over the past few months.

While BMW is keeping its cards tight against its chest for the time being, it is believed that both the next M3 Coupe and Sedan models will replace the current M3's naturally aspirated 4.0-liter V8 with a smaller displacement six-cylinder engine employing two or maybe even three turbochargers for 450-horsepower or more.
