Track-Focused Arrinera Hussarya Unveiled

This rather beautiful Arrinera supercar was unveiled in Poznan as an updated and track-focused version of the Hussarya.

We can already spot a few changes to the body such as the gigantic rear wing, center-mounted dual exhaust pipes, a new front splitter and of course brand new wheels.

Unfortunately we don't know if they increased the performance in any way or have managed to cut some more weight here and there, but rest assured that the Hussarya is pretty quick even in "road-car" form.

And by pretty quick we mean f.a.s.t. It's powered by a 6.2 liter GM-sourced V8 engine, good for 650 HP and 818 Nm (604 lb-ft) of peak torque and it's got rear wheel drive. This thing is no pushover. It will also hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds and soldier on until it hits its 340 km/h (212 mph) top speed.

We already knew that the Hussarya's chassis was developed with the help of Lee Noble, the man behind theNoble supercar, and that it will allegedly cost around €160,000 for the normal version, while a "Launch Edition" model will set you back around €200,000.

Despite the fact that that's almost McLaren 650S money, we'll take the standard €160,000 price-tag and run with it. Since what that means is that it would cost more than a Porsche 911 Turbo S, the question is which would you rather have?

The 911 is obviously quicker with its 0-100 km/h time of just 2.9 seconds and all wheel drive, but higher up in the rev range, the Hussarya would be faster - it does have a higher top speed after all.

We expect this to be a very common dilemma for anybody who'd be interested in the Polish supercar. They could roll the dice, or just go with a "safe bet" such as the 911 Turbo S or maybe even an Audi R8 V10 Plus.

VW Golf Mk1 Makes Yamaha R1 Look Painfully Slow

For anyone not in the know, the Yamaha R1 is one helluva fast sports bike, so it would take a very special car to beat it on the road.

While this first generation VW Golf looks fairly normal sans the bigger wheels, the truth couldn't be any more different; it has a highly-modified 2.0-liter turbocharged engine pushing out a mind-numbing 1,056PS (1,042hp) and 1,001Nm (738 lb-ft) of peak torque! 

And if that's not enough, it was also fitted with a VW-sourced 4MOTION all-wheel drive system paired to a special six-speed manual gearbox. 

It truly is a beast and is no match, even for an 182PS (180hp) Yamaha R1, as you will soon discover for yourself in the following video.

Lexus RC F Once Again Challenges BMW M4 on the Track (video)

The duel between the Lexus RC F and the BMW M4 has become a sort of a classic one, with Auto Express being the latest media outlet to compare the two sports coupes.

Their comparative review only takes place on the track, and with the Lexus RC F weighing around 200 kg (441 lbs) more than the BMW, it’s not hard to figure out which car is better for a circuit outing.

Still, in a way the Lexus RC F is closer to the previous-generation BMW M3 Coupe than its successor, the M4. It is powered by a naturally aspirated V8, while the M4 has gone the turbocharged route and returned to a straight-six engine. While it is heavier than the M4, the Japanese coupe is more powerful as well, but will that be enough to beat the BMW on the track? Scroll down to find out from the video.

S65 AMG Sedan vs. Challenger Hellcat (video)

Looking at this video we can't help but to admire these two cars side by side and we're glad the owner decided to share a little muscle car rumbling with us. This is V8 vs. V12 in all its glory!

Of course, the massive V12-powered S65 AMG is a hard car to outshine in any sort of department. It's twin-turbo 6.0 liter engine puts out 621 hp (630 PS) which is terrific except for the fact that its 86 hp less than the Challenger Hellcat.

The Hellcat seems to be the car of the moment on all websites, YouTube channels and social media pages. And now wonder with those 707 hp, straight out of a good ol' American supercharged V8. It's actually faster than the Merc too with a 0-60 mph time in the low 3 second range. And of course it'll go all the way up to 199 mph where the S65 is limited to just 155 mph. But its not like those factory settings can't come off.

Another department where the Dodge takes the cake is pricing. The S65 AMG tips the scale at $222,000, which is over 3 times more expensive than the Hellcat. Overall, it's hard to decide which car sounds better. We're still willing to go with the V12 if we're talking mid to high range action. But at start-up, the Hellcat seems to sound a bit more aggressive.

100 Years Of Chevrolet and Indy 500

America's most famous race, the Indianapolis 500, celebrates its 100th anniversary this year and so does Chevrolet, whose name was tied to the “Brickyard” from the very beginning. Arthur Chevrolet competed in the inaugural Indy 500 on May 30 1911, a few months before founding the company that bears his name, on November 3 the same year. Today, Chevrolet and Indy 500 are still together, with the Camaro SS Convertible to be the 22nd Chevrolet to pace the Indy 500 race on May 29 as a common celebration for their 100-year anniversary.

Over the years, the Chevrolet brothers competed many times at the Indy 500, but only one of them managed to win the race. In 1920, Gaston Chevrolet triumphed behind the wheel of a Monroe-Frontenac, becoming the first winning driver to finish the race on one set of tires. Sadly, he passed away later that year during a California race.

After the end of World War 2, Chevrolet started to provide pace cars for the race, with the first being a 1948 Convertible. Including this year's event, Chevrolet cars have paced the Indy 500 22 times, more than any other brand. The Corvette did it ten times, followed by the Camaro, with seven appearances.

The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 Pace Car pays tribute to the 1969 Camaro pace-setter, with the two cars sharing the paint scheme. It will also be sold as a special edition model in a limited run of 500 units.
